With two modes of operation, rotation with hammering and rotation only, this versatile tool can be used for drilling in steel, wood or concrete. Use rotation only for drilling in steel and wood. Use rotation with hammering when drilling in concrete. Dual range speed control allows the operator to choose higher speed with lower torque or slower speed and more torque depending on the size and type of the fastener or bit and the material being drilled. This tool can be used to drive concrete screw fasteners used in many installation operations. The Hammer-Drill offers a unique brush cartridge system, storing spare carbon brushes in the handle of the tool. Only a screwdriver is needed to replace worn brushes. The tool is back on the job in minutes. Equipped with an exclusive Milwaukee Quik-Lok® cord, the cord can be removed for tangle free carrying and storage. It also allows for fast field replacement of defective cord sets. Simply twist and pull off the defective cord and push and twist on the new cord.
